About the Festival

Hampden Film Festival is for people with short attention spans.

Let's face facts, film festivals can be DULL. Who really wants to sit through a three hour documentary about the socio economic ramifications of sustainable roof top ferret farming. We can't promise that you will love every movie, but if you hate it at least it will be short. In the immortal worlds of that wise potato chip maker, "Don't worry, we'll make more." And much like potato chips you'll find with these movies, "You can't have just one." (Man is anybody else hungry right now?)

The third annual Hampden Film Festival will screen short films that are 20 minutes or less in length. We welcome films of any type, style and genre. All entries will be viewed by a panel of judges and will be evaluated on a "points” system. The top three points earners will be screened again at an awards ceremony at the end of the day. A schedule for the movies will be posted prior to the show. Oh, and by the way if you are coming, feel free to bring us a snack we could really go for some potato chips.
